Administration/Zoning Department
Now Hiring: Full-Time Code Enforcement Officer
Butler Township is seeking candidates for the position of Code Enforcement Officer to perform duties of zoning and property maintenance inspection and compliance. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and Associate’s Degree or 2 years of experience in planning, zoning, code enforcement, law enforcement, building inspection, or other related field. Position is full-time at 40 hours per week. Work hours are 8 am & 4:30 pm, M-F. The hourly rate is $18.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending upon qualifications. Police Department
Now Hiring: Full Time Police Officer / Entry Level
Butler Township is seeking candidates for the position of Police Officer / Entry Level. Testing for this position will be processed through National Testing Network (NTN). To register with NTN and schedule a test, go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com, select ‘Find Jobs’, then select Law Enforcement Jobs and sign up for Butler Township.
When you visit the National Testing Network website, you will:
- Complete the NTN registration process and schedule your test.
- Review all information related to the Butler Township Police Officer/Entry Level position, including minimum requirements, salary, and benefits.
- Review detailed information about the testing process.
- Review the Frequently Asked Questions and take an online practice test, if desired.
Upon completion of your scheduled exam, scores are automatically forwarded to Butler Township. Candidates who attain a passing score on the entry level exam will be placed on Butler Township Police Department’s eligibility list. Butler Township will contact eligible candidates on the list and will invite them to participate in further stages of the selection process. In addition to the NTN test, candidates must complete a Butler Township application (found above on this page) and submit it to the Butler Township offices at 3510 Sudachi Drive, Dayton, OH 45414, or by email at police@butlertownship.com.
To be included in the first round of hiring, candidates must have completed the NTN test by March 1, 2020 at 4:00pm.
