Butler Township is seeking an energetic, creative, and passionate individual to fill a new position of Community Planner. The Community Planner is responsible for managing and carrying out the duties of the township’s planning, zoning, code enforcement, and economic development functions, under the direction of the Township Administrator.
Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Public Administration with a minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in the field of planning, zoning, economic development, or public administration. Any combination of training, education or experience ,which provides necessary knowledge and skills, may be considered.
Salary: $73,000 to $89,990, depending on experience and qualifications. Position is an exempt, non-union position. Includes excellent benefits.

Butler Township PD is now accepting applications for lateral entry and entry level police officer positions. We have one immediate full-time opening and anticipate up to three additional full-time openings this year.
Testing for entry level candidates will be conducted through the National Testing Network (NTN). The register with NTN, visit nationaltestingnetwork.com, select 'Find Jobs,' select Law Enforcement Jobs and sign up for Butler Township. When you visit the NTN website, you may:
- Complete the NTN registration process and schedule your test
- Review all information related to the position, including minimum requirements, salary, and benefits
- Review detailed information about the testing process
- Review the Frequently Asked Questions and take an online practice test, if desired
Upon completion of your scheduled exam, scores are forwarded to Butler Township PD. Candidates who attain a passing score on the entry level exam will be placed on Butler Township PD's eligibility list. Butler Township PD will contact eligible candidates on the list and invite them to participate in further stages of the selection process. Service Worker I
Butler Township (Montgomery County, OH) is seeking motivated individuals to perform various types of physical, manual labor associated with public works and roads: operating light to medium types of motor equipment and hand tools, cleaning catch basins and ditch lines, road maintenance, concrete and asphalt repair, building maintenance, mowing grass, cutting/trimming of trees, cemetery maintenance and burials, building and repairing drainage structures, sign fabrication, vehicle maintenance and snow removal.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent or completion of trade or technical school in a related field. Work experience in the construction field and/or public works industry is a plus. Applicants with a CDL may be considered first.
